With the SSI Night Diving course, you’ll complete 2 supervised night dives, applying specific control, orientation, and management techniques in low visibility conditions. This specialty prepares you to plan and execute night dives safely.
The night diving course is a diving specialty aimed at certified divers (minimum Open Water or equivalent) who want to learn how to perform night dives using specific communication, orientation, and safety techniques in low visibility.
The specialty focuses on planning night dives, the proper use of lighting systems, orientation without natural references, and the application of protocols adapted to night diving. Upon completion, you will obtain the official SSI Night Diving certification.
During the 2 supervised night dives, you will apply specific communication, orientation, and management techniques to perform night dives with control and planning.
You will learn to use light signals to communicate with your buddy and maintain clear references at all times.
You will develop orientation techniques adapted to night diving, managing natural and artificial references in low visibility.
You will perfect your stability and precision to avoid disorientation and maintain control of the environment.
You will apply specific entry, exit, and planning procedures adapted to night diving, reinforcing coordination with your buddy.
