Learn to prevent and manage diving emergencies and train as a first responder in real situations.
Become a diver prepared to manage underwater emergencies with the SSI Rescue Diver and SSI React Right course in Malta.
You’ll learn to prevent accidents, spot stressful situations a mile away, and execute rescues like a pro, following the official SSI Diver Stress & Rescue program.
This course also throws in the SSI React Right certification, arming you with first aid, CPR, oxygen administration, and basic defibrillator (AED) skills – turning you into a real first responder, ready for anything on the surface or underwater.
The SSI Rescue Diver course, also known as the official Diver Stress & Rescue program, is advanced training built to prepare divers like you for stressful and emergency situations – because let’s face it, things can go sideways fast.
You’ll learn to anticipate problems before they even happen, spot the subtle signs of stress in other divers, and act decisively and safely when an incident occurs.
And because we’re obsessed with being prepared, the program also includes the SSI React Right certification, giving you rock-solid skills in first aid, CPR, oxygen administration, and defibrillator (AED) use.
The SSI Rescue Diver and React Right course is a 2-day deep dive into rescue skills, broken down into 3 progressive phases: intense theoretical training, confined water mastery, and real-world open sea rescue simulations.
We kick things off with hardcore theoretical training through the SSI e-learning system and face-to-face sessions. You’ll learn to sniff out stressful situations, prevent accidents before they happen, and nail those rescue protocols.
This phase also lays the groundwork for the React Right program, focusing on assessing patients and initiating emergency response like a total pro.
Before hitting the open water, you’ll drill self-rescue techniques, master assisting conscious and unconscious divers, and learn to manage critical situations in a controlled environment.
The goal? To build unshakeable confidence, laser-like precision, and lightning-fast reactions before you face real-world scenarios.
The course culminates in 3 open water dives where you’ll unleash everything you’ve learned in simulated situations, all under the watchful eye of your instructor.
We’re talking a maximum depth of 18 meters, so you’re training in real conditions while staying safe and completely in control.
Get seriously good at underwater emergency prevention and management, and walk away with double official SSI certification as a rescue diver and a first responder.
Our SSI Rescue Diver and React Right course includes absolutely everything you need, so you can laser-focus on developing your prevention and rescue skills with total confidence.

I couldn’t recommend them enough, Mireia and her team were great!! 🤿 Héctor SAIZTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alistair EvansTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I booked a short trip to Malta for diving, and Scuba Malta was absolutely the right choice of dive centre to choose. Enol runs a well organised dive shop, his communication is great and was a very good guide on our shore and wreck dives. Iris, Bruno and Stephanie were trainee dive masters who dived with us over the three days and they were very good divers in the water and very helpful at the dive sites too. I'd thoroughly recommend diving with this shop, it will be worth every euro. Fiona KinghornTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Christian WirthTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
